    Few have the passion nor know Scotland's west coast as well as Matt does. A local expert in wildlife and adventure activities, Matt leads our land and sea activities that will leave you brimming with nature knowledge.

    A keen adventurer, Matt has done everything from cycling across Canada to living in the Arctic. However, no matter how many places Matt travels to, he has continued to believe that there is no better place for experiencing the hills, the sea and everything in between than Scotland!

    Dominic Buscall - Wild Ken Hill

    Dominic Buscall is the founder and director of Wild Ken Hill - a nationally-acclaimed land use project featuring regenerative farming, rewilding, and traditional conservation spread across a 4,000-acre coastal Norfolk farm. Dominic is also a member of the Board of Trustees at The British Trust for Ornithology, and is a member of The National Trust’s Nature Environment Advisory Group, where he helps to provide advice spanning its 250,000 ha of land. Prior to Wild Ken Hill, Dominic spent 5 years working in strategy consulting in the UK and abroad for L.E.K. Consulting.

    Joss Carnegie - Farms Manager, Atlantic Mariculture

    With a career in agriculture, Joss manages Atlantic Mariculture’s sea kelp farms off the shores of Ardnamurchan. Joss and team share their rich insights into the power of regenerative agriculture both for our food systems but also for climate change adaptation, mitigation and biodiversity restoration.

  • Climate Pursuits, Nick Padwick

    Nick Padwick - Wild Ken Hill

    Originally a farmer’s son from Hampshire, Nick studied at Sparsholt Agricultural College before moving to the Co-operative Farms Group, where he managed several farming Estates over 23 years, including the flagship Stoughton Estate in Leicestershire, where he and his wife developed the Farm to Fork project. In 2009, Nick won both the prestigious Farmer’s Weekly Farm Manager of the Year and Farmer of the Year Awards. Since 2018, Nick has managed Wild Ken Hill, where he has built a centre of excellence for regenerative farming, and is now widely considered one of the country’s leading regenerative farmers.

    Leon Durbin - Wildlife Biologist

    Leon is a qualified and experienced wildlife biologist with a BSc (hons) in Ecology and a PhD based on otter research in Scotland. He has over 13 years' field experience, studying badgers, foxes, grouse, otters, loggerhead turtles (Greece), kodkod cats (Chile), and Asiatic wild dogs (India). This has included 10 years ecological work in Scotland, expeditions to remote wilderness regions such as Patagonian Chile where he was a biologist for Raleigh International, and a three month research visit to South Africa. He also led a two year research project on the endangered Asiatic wild dog in central India which gave him the opportunity to work with local tribes in the jungle. He is a member of the IUCN Species Survival Commission and the Institute of Outdoor Learning, Bushcraft Special Interest Group.
